Ed's tactical brilliance is the yin to the yang of Parker's emotional intelligence. Think of the expression, "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst," and you'e got the pair of them.

Julianna 'Jules' Callaghan (Amy Jo Johnson) is an exceptional markswoman, ex-RCMP who holds her own in the testoster ... »

By James Whittington

He is an accomplished, writer, director, poet, singer and photographer but for many Leonard Nimoy will always be remembered for his acclaimed role of Mr Spock in Star Trek: The Original Series. His portrayal of the half Vulcan, half Human, made such a cultural impact that today, some 46 years since he first appeared, Spock is one of the most recognisable and best loved characters in the annals of TV history. This is mainly due to the way Nimoy gave this intricate alien so many believable qualities that every scene in which he appears is simply mesmerising.

To Boldly Go...
By James Whittington
Posted in: Features, Tuesday 31st Aug 2010

Star Trek: The Original Series has landed at CBS Action in a version never before seen in the UK. Here we take a look at the shows conception and the enduring legacy it left behind.

Science fiction was rapidly becoming science fact during the 1960's. The Russian space programme was leaving the Americans way behind and images of their manned craft captured the imagination of millions of TV viewers across the globe. These early trials had proven that Man could explore the stars and beyond but up until then TV shows that had incorporated space flight as its subject had remained very much in the realms of fantasy. Then on September 8th 1966 a series was launched that would not only pave the way for countless others but inspired technology advancements of the future. Its name was Star Trek.

Starsky & Hutch - A Celebration
By James Whittington
Posted in: Features, Tuesday 31st Aug 2010

If you think of the 1970's many things such as the flared fashions, disco music and long hot summers will probably spring to mind. But if I were to say you should think of a television programme one show would most definitely be at the top of everyone's list, Starsky & Hutch.

Through 93 episodes the duo cleaned up the streets of Bay City, California driving a bright red Ford Gran Torino with abandon, piling through perfectly placed cardboard boxes and always (well, nearly always) getting their man.

Created by William Blinn and produced by the legendary Aaron Spelling, the series is thought to have been based on the two pol ... »
